BoxOfficeZ
When I first saw the trailer for turtles I thought this would do 20-30m at best. Looks like never underestimate Bay.
miketheavenger
He should do both and have them cross over. The explosions in that film would be.....out of this world.

CJohn
I expect TMNT to collapse after this weekend though If GI Joe was able to get to 150M from a 54M OW, this should be able to do the same.
ecstasy
I expect TMNT to collapse after this weekend though People said the same thing about Lucy and before that Maleficent.
Ando918
Is it kind of surprising that Get on Up is not doing better in its first 8 days? Looks like it will only end up around 50 million domestically, even with good reviews. This sucks for those who wish there were more interesting portrayals of famous African-Americans in real life and real events shown in the movies, other than really stupid crap like Ride Along, Big Momma's House 5, Tyler Perry's "Why did I make this movie?", Think Like a Man 7, Bad Boys 12, and others. I know Guardians is popular, but still.
Claire of Themyscira
My dad would rather see the apparently horrible TMNT or Into The Storm over the apparently bad too, GOTG. Edited August 8, 2014 by Claire Nolan Holt
4815162342
Still waiting for the TF/GI Joe/TMNT cross over. That would make like 400M DOM and 1.2B WW. Shredder already is a Transformer though
DAJK
Let's be Cops wont bomb Ninja turtles was supposed to be the big risk of the summer, it seems like that "risk" is paying off, this film sure isn't bombing. The only movie I see this month maybe losing money is the November Man, depending on the budget of course. (into the storm will make its money back because of OS #s) The Green Inferno got pushed back, does that weekend even have any wide releases anymore? Has that ever happened recently? What's going to move there?

Fake
Good opening for Turtles. It is easily winning the weekend. But it will be curious to see if it can win Saturday and Sunday.

James
My dad would rather see the apparently horrible TMNT or Into The Storm over the apparently bad too, GOTG. So it's a lose-lose situation I heard 'Let's be Cops' is good. So there's another option
