BH6 is based off a comic book. In terms of BO following, the Simpsons Movie is not a sequel, so it's considered "original". Same with BH6, which again, is based off a comic.

It's also the sixth film in the franchise

Can I ask a question? Okay, so I bought $102 worth of Interstellar tickets last week. Would that already be included in the money reported to the studios, or is the money reported once the showing starts? Just curious

It's included against date of session ,so if u bought last weekend for today the ticket amount is included in todays total

Studios may ask theatres/fandango at times for an indication of how advanced sales are going usually just given as lump sum so as at last Friday we have pre sold so far X Amt for all sessions over OW

How can anyone be definitive about anything involving a range of projected numbers at 3pm west coast time?

Especially when we've got an animated movie in play. Their opening Sat bumps can range from like 5% to 100%.

WiR increased 57% on Sat and dropped 33% on Sun, so that's probably the best thing to gauge BH6's OW holds given the same opening dates.

Ahead of what? BH6? It's unlikely because Interstellar's average price ticket is certainly higher than BH6's.

 

BH6 is in 3D while INTERSTELLAR is not.

BH6 should have the edge here. It's a family film. It has 3D. It's run time is way shorter. It has the THE AVENGERS vibe.

 

But it seems it won't win the weekend.
