John Marston
Didn't Scott say there were no aliens in the movie? Kind of a false advertising then

WrathOfHan
First predictions: OW: 50M DOM: 160M WW: 450M Assuming it's good I don't see how it doesn't beat Prometheus. Late legs will be nonexistent because of November's crop.
kayumanggi
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in Alien with Alien: Covenant, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus -- and connects directly to Scott's 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. grim22
The good thing is that they are admitting up front that it is a prequel to Alien unlike the nonsense with the mystery box marketing for Prometheus. Hopefully Lindelof is kept away as well and Ridley decides to not be obtuse about the connections to Alien this time around.
Jonwo
Given the success of The Martian and Gravity, I had a feeling they'd go for October since Spring and Summer 2017 is very crowded. I suspect Jungle Book Origins will move back a week

Claire of Themyscira
Not this moving forward already. Not them dropping Rapace already. Not them embracing Fassbender already. Not them getting ready to cast Queen already.

zackzack
This doesn't sound so good... 10,000 screenwriters, rewrites, a competing project, a cancelled said project, delayed start date, title changed again...
Tau Ceti
Great to see the first week of October has established itself as the sci-fi for grownups corridor. I'll be happy to see a movie like this in the slot every year or two.
zackzack
Noomi Rapace character seems to be missing from the most recent synopsis. "In addition to the release date and logo, Fox also released an official synopsis, which features one glaring omission: Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition." from Collider
Jake Gittes
Rapace's Hollywood career just hasn't been working out at all. Shame.
