Maybe it's the Basics who are the bloggers/tweeters, and the GA are the "real deciders"?  How's that for a twist?

 

We always get these same "early tweet raves." 

 

I was one of the few who was not a fan of Ex-Machina, so I'm more skeptical, and Portman doesn't do much for me (except when she's rapping)...but interested to see what this is all about.

Wow early word seems promising. I loved Arrival and hopefully this is similar in quality.

Not worried about reviews or anything, but I guess I'm glad it seems to be doing well in that department.

Have to admit, the trailer I saw left me slightly cold.  But seeing Tele stan for this so hard and seeing the reaction of some folks online...

 

Well, just makes me wonder what would have happened if this was marketed by a company that had an ounce of faith in it.  

 

Horror isn't my bag (like, at all), so I'll very probably end up skipping this.  But I do like me some intelligent SciFi, so I hope it does well with its intended audience.  We can do with a hell of a lot more of the genre.

I've seen a ton of ads for this (on top of the trailer being attached to most movies the past few months), not sure where the "lack of marketing" criticisms are coming from.
