Of all the MI-villains, Sean is a legitimately threatening villain for Ethan Hunt to face. He almost cut his own henchman’s finger and was masked as Ethan in some moments in MI2.

These movies have a lot of twists and reveals. Literal face masks are pulled off in every M:I movie. It's obvious that he's very likely one of them from the trailers but we wouldn't know he's the villain. Could be someone he's working for that breaks him out, etc.

I honestly don't mind them but others here might be more upset.
