KATCH-2D2
Budget for Ted 2 is 85M Really? That's a bit high for a comedy. But I don't think it's going to have trouble hitting 300m WW so it won't be a flop even with that budget.
redfirebird2008
On MovieTickets, Ted 2 definitely had a big effect on JP4's percentage. Curious to see what kind of preview number Ted 2 will have.
miketheavenger
The Hangover III should be a massive hit. Why? The first one was loved That's different. Hangover III was the follow-up to the second movie, which was almost universally disliked, but still was a huge hit due to goodwill from the first movie. WrathOfHan
The drop in reviews wasn't that big from the first Ted, it should easily outgross the original.
baumer
Hangover 2 had a massive opening because of Hangover. How convenient of you to ignore the second ones opening and just focus on the third which was an absolutely horrid film.
DAR
Hangover II was horrid also, so much that I've never bothered with the third

Clef Ment
Hangover II > Hangover >>>>>> Hangover III. There's not reason to dislike Hangover II if you liked the first one, it's more of the same but on steroids. Hangover III though... I don't know what happened.
Asyulus
Ted 2 might outgross the original WW, and Ted 3 will compensate and be in $400-500m WW range?
bladels
Movietickets: IO - 30% Ted - 25.4% JW - 25.3% Ted surpassed JW.
baumer
Hangover II was horrid also, so much that I've never bothered with the third I thought it was quite funny.
Asyulus
Movietickets: IO - 30% Ted - 25.4% JW - 25.3% Ted surpassed JW. Thats not a good sign for JW, might not make it to $50m 3rd WKND.
KATCH-2D2
Movietickets: IO - 30% Ted - 25.4% JW - 25.3% Ted surpassed JW. So Ted is biting into JW numbers leaving IO as the run away winner? Or is it still too soon to tell?
JohnnyGossamer
So Ted is biting into JW numbers leaving IO as the run away winner? Or is it still too soon to tell? Too soon but it's beginning to appear that way. I wouldn't use the phrase "runaway winner" though. It'll be tight.

KATCH-2D2
Thats not a good sign for JW, might not make it to $50m 3rd WKND. Err.. Why? These are percentages, not the actual numbers. If IO makes 60m both JW and Ted are going to make around 50m according to their percentages.
baumer
Thats not a good sign for JW, might not make it to $50m 3rd WKND. Why is it not a good sign? LOL, it's going to be a few million shy of 500 million dollars after this weekend. How in the world is this not a good sign. It has grossed so much so fast that it has to start slowing down in some capacity. It's already surpassed the prediction of every single person who made a prediction for it. I seriously doubt anyone anywhere predicted this would do 600+ million. So bad sign?

JennaJ
At this point, every single extra dollar JW makes is like an added bonus. No bad signs except if someone has their hearts set on it taking over Titanic or something. It burned off a ton of demand, at some point it'll start slowing down and that's fine. Remains to be seen if that point has arrived yet or not.
