Gopher
JW could literally leave all theaters today and its run would still be astounding. It's fine. Similarly, Inside Out will outgross Dragon 2's entire run by Sunday. God damn, this summer is better than last year. DAR
I'd just like to say after the comments about me and MMFR, lol at you JW people. Given it's expectations, MMFR was doing better than most thought.
e1828
Late run has too small of drops Ant-Man, Pixels, MI5, and F4 should hurt JW's late legs Perhaps, but at that point the amounts are much smaller than in its first few weeks, and so even if it has 50% drops in weekend 6-10, it should still clear $600 million rather easily. Taking Baumer's numbers with much bigger drops. Weekend 4: 30 mill Weekend 5: 17 Weekend 6: 9 (ant-man) Weekend 7: 4.5 (pixels) Weekend 8: 2.5 (MI: 5) Weekend 9: 1.25 (F4) Weekend 10: 0.6 At least $65 million weekend At least $40 million weekdays Plus $495 after this weekend $600 million on the extremely conservative side
PDC1987
Yeah, because kids aren't seeing JW. Right. Far more for IO and you know it.
Truckasaurus
Oh, those HORRID JW numbers, though! Those are not good numbers for the film. It's going to have the third highest 3rd weekend in history! That's terrible!

Are his numbers to be held holy? Edited June 26, 2015 by Infernus

Mitch
8.9 million Not bad. Lets not forget that IO is a real kids film. it should start kicking JW in the butt now. People are in awe over PIXAR's big time return to the old ways.

Infernus
So once again, exactly as much as Rth's estimates. Well good for Inside Out . As for JW, well...I'd say just non-mindblowing.
Tubes
I went digging and couldn't find a weekend where 3 movies grossed $50 million or more. The closest was Memorial Day 2005, where Madagascar and The Longest Yard both missed by roughly $3 million. Some more history, perhaps?
