Quigley
Fox has been lucky enough to avoid the negative press since Alice 2 was a worse dud than Apocalypse. All the chat has been about the gigantic failure that Alice was but all in all Apocalypse was quite disappointing too.

Because you said the foreign takes weren't bad, but not encouraging. The actual foreign was weaker, but it doesn't seem like "not bad" to "quite disappointing." And yeah. Fox has several franchises, and Deadpool killed it. But, these are bad results.

Am thinking 250m from current territories + 150 (China+Japan+SK+others) = 400 at most. 150m dom and 390m os for 540m ww. China is looking like a potential challenge. Presales have been quite weak and lagged BVS by a lot. One poster on the China board says it may only do less than 500M yuan which is like 76M in USD. With 75-80m China, beating DOFP's OS of 514m could be the bar for APOC WW.
superweirdo87
China midnight #s were 44% of Civil War, and XMA will have weaker legs, especially with Warcraft. They think 70-80M total. Edited June 2, 2016 by superweirdo87

OD is around $18M.a bit higher than DoFP.Bad release date.only 5 days away from Warcraft. If XA release a week early,it may hit $150M too.Now,110~120M is still possible. XMenSaga
if XA starts with 60m... do you think it has a chance of doing 30m next weekend? or with Warcraft thats highly unlikely? imo, as long as XMen reaches 100m, I will be totally happy

Blaze Heatnix
If domestic grosses for Apocalypse end between 150-166 million and overseas grosses end at least with more than 400 million, there's a chance it might make 600 million worldwide. Deadpool wasn't released in China. I wonder how much money could have been made there. 1 billion for Deadpool wouldn't be out of reach. PanaMovie
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE With a $59M start in China, Fox’s XMA grabbed the 2nd highest opening weekend ever for the studio, coming in behind the Titanic re-release. It was also the top IMAX Fox debut ever in the market. The Middle Kingdom bow is 62% bigger than Days Of Future Past and 7% over Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Overall, the mutants landed $84.4M in the 3rd offshore frame to claim bragging rights to No. 1. In 66 markets, XMA’s overseas total is $286M. Holds were solid in Korea ($4.5M/$18.1M cume); Brazil ($2.2/$16M); the UK($2M/$23M); France ($1.9M/$13M); Mexico ($1.4M/$17M); Australia($1.2M/$10M); and Germany ($1.2M/$7.5M). Japan is the final release on August 11. Source: Deadline.com Nice for China!! 405M OS and 160M DOM for 565M WW my prediction

Quigley
OS total around $390-410M I think. Including est. $155-165M from DOM gives us $545-575M. There is no chance of $600M imo.
