Purple Minion
Blimey, great hold in the US! 1 billion, here we go. Eye-popping $23.2M TUE for #FindingDory. Most pics would kill for that # on a SAT. $177.8M in 5days. $500M+ looking more like a sure thing.— Gitesh Pandya (@GiteshPandya) 22 June 2016

Purple Minion
That's fantastic. What's the average ticket price for a kid's movie? About €7?

Last year, average ticket price was about €6.2. Concerning animated films, both Zootopia and Kung Fu Panda 3 have averaged about €5.75. And Wednesday is a discount day. Probably around €1m OD or a bit more.

Renaud originel
Hello yesterday Dory : 28 000 admissions Paris and surbubs. A friend (from conscore) tell me yesterday in France : 104 000 admissions ( but he got only 90% of theaters) But it's an evidence than Disney communicate with the combination of the previews from sunday + yesterday admissions. So, I think the official number from Disney in France will be around 200 000 admissions. http://www.boxofficestory.com/

And a SH film is WAY more frontloaded than an animated one. BvS had a x6.4 multiplier in admissions from the OD. I would not be surprised if we have a x20 multiplier for Dory taking into account the very good reviews. I can see Dory making over €20m, maybe repeating Nemo's figure (€23.8m). But we will know better when we have more data. Maybe I have exceed with the adjective "astonishing", but IMHO, it is a very good start. Not flopping, but not a huge score for sure, but I think Dory will do better for the next days. But Ice Age 5 will start strong in 3 weeks, and it's a really danger for Dory. It's a shame "the fete du cinema" starts only sunday.

Will still be very far from Nemo in revenue.
