alestevens
I just found out on BoxOfficeMojo that this movie is currently doing better here in Argentina than every European country it has opened in. That's crazy, isn't it?

That's crazy, isn't it? Argentina loves animation. 2015: Minions and Inside Out topped last year ranking. 2014: Frozen was second just behind local hit Relatos Salvajes. 2013: Monsters University and DM2 topped the rank. 2012: Ice Age 4 was the biggest film. 2011: Cars 2 ranked 1st, Puss in Boots #3, and Rio, KFP2 and Tangled were #5, #6 and #7. 2010: Both Toy Story 3 and Shrek 4 were the top films, topping Avatar... Said this, yes, it is quite relevant that Argentina can top big European markets, specially France, where Nemo already grossed $65m in 2003. I guess that Euro Football Cup is damaging the BO.

No, it's probably not going to have Zootopia's multiplier. The reason why Zootopia had long legs is because people didn't know quite what it was until they saw it. You can't say the same about Finding Dory.

Planodisney
I'm expecting Monsters University numbers. Sequel to a popular movie but doesn't quite live up to the first. Could do better because it's a better sequel than MU, but could fall short because of changing market and taste. Sequel multiplier is rarely going to be as big as an original. keysersoze123
I am kidding on frozen comparison but Japan markets can be quite leggy. We will see for sure in next few weeks.

It might be the only movie this year that overtakes Zootopia in Japan. One Piece Gold might have a shot, and it's a major competitor for Finding Dory in terms of screens.
