This hold puts 200m in good shape for Bond unless Mockingjay absolutely crush it.

Which is likely.

Bond has an older audience demographics. Most of the younger audience have already seen Bond when MJ2 hit next weekend.

Only 22% of the ow audience as under 25, with 30% over 50.  In Bond's case the older audience doesn't seem exactly late to the party.

Spotlight doing well. Definitely will end up closer to Sicario than to Jobs. The latter meanwhile is dropping again after last week's PTA surge, but I still think Uni will keep it playing until the nominations, just in case.

Spotlight is absolutely tremendous and I hope it has a long, long run.

Pretty Pathetic. Jolie tried a crowd pleaser with Unbreakable and came up dry,now this art house  fiasco. She should just give up as a director. To quote Dirty Harry,"You Have to Know Your Limtations".

It'll do what all Oscar contenders do, stay visible in limited and wide release till the ceremony, then sink like a stone in March whether it wins BP or not. I could see it doing like $40m, maybe close to $60m if it wins.

Really? Just give up because one movie isn't successful? I wonder if you'd be saying this about any other director with potential talent.

That Peanuts number is shockingly low, unless it is getting a massive Sat bump. Doesn't bode well at all for it once TGD opens. Spectre is holding better than expected, though I'd imagine it will still be near a 55% drop for the weekend. We'll see how it fares next weekend with some competition.
