Without any awards recognition to propel it (outside of a likely lone nomination for Lawrence), yes.

To the surprise of no one, The Hateful Eight's grosses are looking to be more Kill Bill than Django or Basterds.

Weinstein fucked up the whole release strategy. It was supposed to be wide on January 8. A couple of weeks ago they changed it to January 1. A few days ago they changed it to December 31 and on December 29 they changed it to December 30.

How can something have less appealing than Django?

It was pretty ugly stuff.

Nah Django was a fun movie that the whole family can enjoy.

After all of the reports of the problems experienced with the 70MM version (including the movie actually catching on fire as it was playing lololol), they likely wanted to get it out there so people could have the choice of seeing it without any potential issues.

I didn't knew about this  They should have just planned a wide release on Christmas Day. Other movies would move.

Huh?

Good thing it wasn't in 3D. They might've thought it was part of the movie

Opening it wide against The Revenant was such a blockheaded idea so it's shocking they waited so late to move it away.  It should have opened wide over Christmas.

I like the idea that Melanie Laurent is probably responsible for all this, as some ofnthe commentators point out.

Not bad, $60m thanks only to JLaw's name, she's officially a draw

If they only would create toys that are done a bit nicley for female MCU / Rey (most of MCU... are done ugly)

T-Shirts: if they even offer female characters mostly in idiotic poses, screaming colors, way too big designs or only as small sizes (or strange 'girl cuts')

Or oversizesd lim. ed. toys for $150+++

When will they learn...

"female superhero toys dont sell" Batman v. Superman toys. What's sold out? Wonder Woman.
