XXRDJisDoctorDoom
Just an update... Detective Chinatown 3 now has a "want-to-see" score of nearly 3.1 million on Maoyan. I believe this puts it 1.3 million clear of the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame. I'm very curious to see what kind of box office run it has. 1

It's a little bit of a weird situation though with the delay (you'd expect the WTS to be inflated in a situation like this), but should have a monster run regardless. Well, first impressions are positive and opened 90/100 on critics choice so I don’t think this will be another BvS situation

charlie Jatinder
The last Marvel/DC film to open under ¥50mn was Guardians of the Galaxy at ¥46.08mn. Even Deadpool 2 managed ¥57mn. Couldn't find anything on Fantastic Four so I suppose it didn't release. Edited December 14, 2020 by charlie Jatinder

cax16
I know the first movie wasn’t loved or anything but these pre-sales seem even worse then they should be. Do critics see this early in China and give reactions?

The surprising thing about the first movie is that it had a 2.4x multiplier in China. Most CBM movies in China end up with a 1.8x-2.1x multiplier.
