Maybe BvS can have a better hold next weekend? There's no still no major release. Well there's Melissa McCarthy's new movie but that would likely just pull Tammy numbers or below

It would have been great if Disney moved Jungle Book a week early but then i like Zootopia having one more weekend with no major competition for the family audience

Of course it's gonna have a better hold, back-to-back 70% drops would be one of the biggest BO disasters ever

hmm...would say ~55% drop next weekend.

So if it does 51m this weekend (260m cume), 23m for next weekend and 15m weekdays before that.

So 260 + 15 + 23 = 298m after 3rd weekend.

And 2x of the 3rd weekend more in the rest of the run; 298 + 23*2 =298 + 46 = 344m dom.

330 dom / 890 ww. Some, ahem, familiar numbers

It needs 340-350m dom to do 890-910 ww.

Right now 870-890m is looking very likely.

Once/If it becomes clear that it's missing 900m, lot of noise will be made in the media.

Right now the perception is still that close to 1b ww is happening.

WB should release directors cut and add to bvs gross

how many do you think it will add? the cost of releasing and marketing it could itself not be worth it.

instead let that be the reason to buy dvd/bluray/rentals/etc.

http://deadline.com/2016/04/batman-v-superman-box-office-second-weekend-gods-not-dead-2-1201729796/

6TH UPDATE, Saturday 11:45 PM: The only good news is that Warner Bros.’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s weekend isn’t any worse than what we expected, but a tad better with a FSS of $51.2M after seeing a $22.2M Saturday, +45% over Friday’s $15.3M. The concern here was that BvS’ second weekend was going to sink into the higher $40M range. Currently, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen with many predicting a -35% hold on Sunday over Saturday. BvS‘ Saturday uptick is normal for a number of big pics in their second weekend, and in fact most films in the top 10 saw Saturday surges between 13%-48%.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2  ($11.1M, great sophomore hold of -38%, 10-day cume: $36.5M), Pure Flix’s God’s Not Dead 2 ($7.56M opening), and Sony/Affirm’s Miracles From Heaven ($7.38M, down decent -24% in third weekend, cume $46.7M).

I have to ask.....

Does anyone really admire the music-score of what Michael Giacchino delivers in the movies he composed in?

I really liked his scores on JW, DOTPOTA & MI3 & MI4. Such immense feeling in those movies.

Giacchino is a musical genius, especially when teams up with Pixar. Pixar's already known for having excellent scores to their , but their work with Giacchino is just fantastic. Up is amazing, as is Inside Out.

His work on JC and the Star Trek films are also equally excellent. I'm a big fan.

Can't trust atheists either. Look at Stalin.

Spanish inquisition

Do you take Jesus as your one and only savior

No

Burn him at the stake

Stalin USSR

Do you pledge allegiance to the communist party

No

Off to the Gulag. Dead in 3 years or less

Religion

Join,  have faith and spend eternity in loving heaven.

Lenin USSR

Equality among people and freedom from centuries of oppression from the czars.

Atheists Lennon and Stalin were more oppressive than the czars or the Catholic Church at their worst.

And yet Leninism, Stalinism, and Communism are dead and gone.  They're failed and rejected ideologies on the whole(except for China's pet, North Korea.  But without China, that regime would collapse overnight).
