BOT Top 100 Movies of All Time (2016 Edition) - Due May 12

Going to try to finish my list this weekend.

I can Cut 12 Angry Men and Vertigo from up there now. 9.5 and 8.5 out of 10s respectively. Both great and both might make it in my top 100.

Only have the time for my TOP 15 or so:

 

1. The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (it just was the greatest eyeopener and cinematic experience of my life)

2. Titanic (made me fall in love with movies - and it is still a mangificent achievement that never fails to amaze, entertain and touch me)

3. Sophie Scholl - Die letzten Tage (although it only tells a very very short story from the Third Reich, it basically says it all... magnificent casting)

4. The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (probably the best battle ever put on screen... plus PJ handles the different storylines perfectly)

5. Gravity (considered overrated by many back then it is now underrated by many, I believe. Imho it is amazing what is told and shown in that limited screentime)

6. The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (the "weakest" of the three, yet an incredible emotional powerhouse)

7. Little Miss Sunshine (always makes me smile and laugh)

8. Zodiac (watched it so many times and it still gives me the creeps... that last scene...)

9. Forrest Gump (it just is a classic... I am not sure I actually like it THAT much, but I can never switch it off when I catch it)

10. Inception (entertainment at Nolan's best without all the pretention that creeped in with Interstellar...)

11. Schindler's List (one of the best movies on the Holocaust out there without getting overly graphic, moralistic or any of the other downfalls that can come easily with that topic)

12. Brokeback Mountain (it is a nostalgic movie that did a lot for the LGBTQ community without actually trying to... it simply is a great love story)

13. Boyhood (simply a great achievement)

14. The Queen (Helen Mirren is a legend!)

15. Revolutionary Road (Kate and Leo both deserved an Oscar for it)

I only want Zootopia to get 4 points. And I honestly think it deserves a spot in the top 25.

I haven't watched an insane amount of movies though, and I'm in the honeymoon phase with Zootopia.
