Finding Dory was good but its not better than Zootopia. Not even close.

I agree, Zootopia was so good though, hard to do better than that. Moana could get close though.

Tarzan is doing solid... $110-115 million DOM and double that OS is about double what most on here were predicting. It could mean July 2016 will turn things around.

Dory is on the way to $475 million+.

Purge 3 is quite successful.

BFG bombed unfortunately :(

IDR is struggling. $95-100 million DOM is about half of what most expected back in April/May.

Nice to see Shallows and Central Intelligence hold well.

Great for The Purge Election Year. Horror is 3/3 this summer. God the genre needed some hits! Lights Out and Don't Breathe both look unique, too.

Thats really solid for Tarzan. WB's fault for spending to much. I don't see it getting a sequel, but it's avoided being a costly flop.

Crap for The BFG, but the film looks boring.

It's $175M now. How is it adding another $200M to its box office. Regardless let's say it does. $375/2 is $187M so they'll have made $22M if we go off of the idea that the studio gets half the box office back. However $275M of that is coming from overseas territories and so Fox won't be getting a clear cut half from it. They're barely going to break even, if they even break even and that's not including the amount of money they included in marketing. I don't think it's "fine." It's not a fantastic four disaster but it's not good either.

I don't think anybody is making a case for this being a hit. But it's not a bomb either the budget is relatively low for a film of this scope. So no it's not doing well for Fox but it's not going to lose them any money either. In fact it might even be heading to the 400 million range. That should at least give it some kind of a small profit. So no it's not a hit in any sense of the word but it's not an unmitigated disaster.

Posting spoilers is against the box office forums 101. This is the first basic rule of posting at a movie forum. The first rule is you do not post spoilers. The second rule is you DO NOT post spoilers. This is as basic as it gets people here.

The third rule, so they know the specifics, is that untagged spoilers are allowed in the movie's thread after 2 weeks, in the forum in general after 4 weeks.

Thanks to it's 180m budget, it's still probably going to lose WB a lot of money.

No, it won't. It will likely make close to 400m WW. After that, home media + TV will also bring money. It will even make some profit in the end.

In family friendly Brazil, Dory rode to $7.1M for the best Disney or Pixar animated opening ever, almost twice the previous record held by The Good Dinosaur. The film is running gill-to-gill withMinions for the No. 1 all-time animation debut record with both title’s carrying local currency estimates of 23M reals. In the Netherlands, Dory definitely posted the largest opening for an animated title ever with $2.1M.

It's crazy, Pixar is rarely big in Brazil so that's fantastic! $1B is even more likely.

Great for The Netherlands as well.

Conjuring 2:

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $95,283,538    34.8%
Foreign:  $178,800,000    65.2%

Worldwide:  $274,083,538

It already passed Annabelle OS's total (172.6m) and it is less than 2m shy of Conjuring's (180.6m). With Japan still on the way 200m OS will happen.

There likely won't be a sequel though.
