Peregrine held better than Maze Runner! Maybe legs will be pretty decent! Could also be the factor that some parents thought of it as a kids movie, so it played a bit as such over Saturday and Sunday, with a better than expected bump.

Pets will surpass Inside Out's WW total after it opens in Italy. New numbers:

Total Lifetime Grosses

Just $24M left for Pets to beat Inside Out, WW-wise. Thank you, OS-audience. :D:)

If 100m hadn't been absolutely, positively dead for Sausage Party before, it is now. And so it is for Mag7. It'd be pretty hilarious if the latter kept dropping off faster than expected and ultimately finished under Don't Breathe (which is looking at a 89-91m finish).

Given the competition coming up (The Girl on the Train, The Accountant), I wouldn't rule it out.

Bridget Jones's Baby really didn't click with domestic audiences whereas it's thriving in the UK and on course to crack the top three films of 2016 which currently consists of Jungle Book, Dory and Captain America (in local currency not dollars).

Sully is another success for Hanks, Eastwood and WB, I imagine it'll end at $120m domestic and perhaps $80-100m OS perhaps more.

Seeing as how Peregrine managed 28M this weekend, i don't see how The Girl on the train misses 30M. Bigger book sales and a relatively well know lead actress. Peregrine didn't even have great reviews.

Miss Peregrine leads bland newcomers on a bland weekend at the box office.                                                                                                    Overall the top 12 was at $106.4 million which  is 25% down from last year.                                                                                                               Miss. Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children debuted with an estimated $28.5 million. That debut is just a little less than Tim Burton's last wide release film Dark Shadows(which also starred as Eva Green), and is also less than The Maze Runner & The Maze Runner:Scorch Trials. But is better than the debut of Ender's Game back in 2013. Overall this is not a bad start for Peregrine but nothing to run home about, the film needs to have solid holding power(mixed word of mouth thus far) and possible solid returns overseas to be considered a win for Fox. Overall look for Miss Peregrine to shoot up between $65-$70 million domestic.                                                                                    The other big budget film Deepwater Horizon bombed with an estimated $20.6 million. That debut is way less than Mark Wahlberg's last film with director Peter Berg Lone Survivor, and less than Captain Phillips. But is an improvement from recent true-story disaster flops such as The Finest Hours and Everest. Although it saw lackluster results on its opening weekend, Deepwater had by the best word of mouth for an opening title this weekend! But even with solid word of mouth, and a crowded adult-oriented October coming up Deepwater Horizon should have so-so holds for its future. Look for Deepwater Horizon to make between $55-$60 million domestic.                                                                    Last weekend's champ, The Magnificent Seven saw a big drop  nearly 55% which is steeper than The Equalizer but is a smaller drop than 2 Guns. Overall the film may fall short of $100 million which is kinda dissapointing for the film.                                                                                  Warner Bros family animated movie Storks had a decent drop under 40% this weekend which isn't bad for the family market which doesn't have a big animated film until Dreamworks Animation's Trolls in November. Storks should hold up fine, and should make some money back overseas. Look for Storks to make over $60 million domestic.          Sully had another solid hold this weekend and it passed the $100 million mark this weekend! Overall look for Suly to land between $125-$130 million domestic.                                                                                    The last new release, the delayed movie Masterminds flopped with an estimated $6.6 million which is on the low-end for the leading stars. With lackluster word of mouth, and possible hefty drops for the film. Look for Masterminds to make near $15 million domestic.                        Disney's Queen Of Katwe expanded this weekend with an estimated $2.6 million. That's not an amazing start for the film but it could expand in the future. Either way the film should break even.                         Don't Breathe had another solid hold this weekend, and should make above $90 million domestic. Bridget Jones, and Snowden both saw stiff drops at 50% each. Bridget Joness is doing sucessful overseas which isn't a problem for Universal, and Snowden is either way a minor flop.

The Girl on the Train won't have great reviews either.
