Alli
http://deadline.com/2016/10/inferno-ron-howard-tom-hanks-1201844398/ Sony’s Inferno from director Ron Howard drew $800K last night from 2,874 locations. While that preview cash is less than what we’ve seen from the latest crop of adult thrillers in the last four weeks (Girl on the Train, The Accountant and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back all clicked past $1.2M), Inferno‘s Thursday night bests the $575K Thursday night made by Howard’s last movie, the misfire In the Heart of the Sea. Tracking has Inferno posting a low to mid $20M weekend. The threequel based on Dan Brown’s bestseller and cost before P&A $75M has already clocked $100M overseas. filmlover
That seems...pretty rough. Sub-$20M is certainly possible.
DAJK
Oof not great at all. 20M still a possibility but this thing is going to open under Accountant. My boss's text says we're only expecting our equivalent of 7.5M tonight.
MrPink
Sub 20 is possible but I don't think it'll be by very much. Sounds bad though. Won't make more than 50m with that kind of opening.

The last movie was 7 years ago, plus The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons were movies that most people didn't particularly like in the first place despite making a lot of money.

TalismanRing
Iif it has the same rather high preview to w/e multiplier as Sully it will do $20.7m . This movie probably also skews older but then again it's not as well reviewed and a sequel so...

Maxmoser3
$19-$21 million start this weekend. Legs will be terrible for Inferno. A $50-$60 million total wouldn't be surprising. Overseas will save it
filmlover
Depending on the IM and how poor the legs are, there is a chance this doesn't even make as much in total as Angels & Demons did in its opening weekend. Catastrophe.
