mahnamahna
That's a solid hold for Madea... even with a 60-65% drop next weekend, it'll still be on pace for $65-70 million DOM
narniadis
Fantastic for Madea. Glad the films are finding their audience again although the demo numbers are really strange in comparison to the past.

Also Miss Perigine will be the lowest Month Topper (Grosses in October) since Beverly Hills Chihuahua also in 2008 GOTT, Accountant and Madea will or have already passed Saw IV for the lowest grossing TOP october release in the last Decade but thats not by much. One can only hope - After doing so well most of the year this past October was just terrible. Hopefully with 4 wide releases that appeal to various demos we can see a resurgence through the rest of the year.
boxofficeth
I have the feeling that this weekend is a calm before the fierce storm. Next weekend's total could potentially top 200M! That is my wishful thinking, though.

Strange @ 70 Trolls @ 35 Hacksaw @ 15+ Holdovers @ 40 Gives you aprox 160m I could see maybe 180 IF the three openers all breakout big time but I doubt it. Still nothing to sneeze at and sets up a good run for the month of November.
John Marston
Langdon franchise in its current form is done. I can see in the future some kind of reinvention with a new actor as Langdon and new creative team or a TV series
