I liked the first two KFPs a lot, but my tastes were still "kiddy" back then. I'm sure they're still very good.

I wasn't allowed to read children's books or playing with children neither. I got for learning reading books like The Plague written by Camus. Officilly all the other people/chilfren were too primitive, reality was, she didn't want us to learn about what is normal in other families.

 

There weren't many animated movies then. I remember Jungle Book (1967).

Plus we lived for a while in the mountains, no cinema there then. During the time in the mountains we were the first family with a TV then, 3 German stations and 2 Austrian. All the neighbours came especially for the news. My mother didn't like the ~ in her POV forced on contact, manipulated divorce... I was in 18 schools in different states..., for hiding her abuse..

ORF 2 is one of the main reasons I fell in love with history as a hobby. They had lat in the evening a lot of history themed shows (?), including translated BBC shows.

Really good for all three of the openers. The preview number for Doctor Strange got me more excited than I should have been, but a $32.6 million Friday is great for a non-sequel.

I think we've been spoiled with a lot of the bigger openings for super hero movies lately lol

Yeah, it's kind of crazy that Strange will have the second-lowest CBM opening this year. And people still talk about superhero fatigue? Give me a break.

For kids movies, it's a definite. 2014 had Alexander and Book of Life getting big boosts, and 2012 had Wreck-it Ralph and Hotel Transylvania (Also Here Comes the Boom, but I don't think that was a kids movie). This bodes well for Trolls.

I have a feeling there are alot of people, like me, who only go to the theater for superhero movies and Star Wars.

Trolls was pretty fun in a comfort food type of way

While the Avengers has probably peaked, interest in the solo characters hasn't gone away.

 

The only solo character origin story from MCU with a bigger OW than Strange was Iron Man, even after adjusting for inflation.
