AniNate
Now that Moonlight's resurged at the box office my lowest grossing film is Love & Friendship
filmlover
Well, it looks like I've got new winners on both ends: In theaters: Silence (it's destined to finish with less than $8M at this point) At home: Sing Street
Goffe
In the theaters: Aquarius, which made 290k. At home: Frank and Lola, which made a whopping 9k total. Edited January 19, 2017 by Goffe
Blipsy
A Monster Calls, which looks like it may also be the lowest-grossing movie I've EVER seen in a theater. The current holder of that title for me would be Monkeybone, and I doubt A Monster Calls will make another $2 million.

Poor Bridget Fonda, that movie probably chased her out of the industry completely.
AniNate
I guess technically the absolute lowest grosser was a movie I saw at the Cleveland Film Festival called "collective:unconscious". It's available for free on Vimeo Edited January 19, 2017 by tribefan695

Lowest overall was Tickled, or if you don't count documentaries it was Elvis & Nixon.
eXtacy
Hunt for the Wilderpeople probably the lowest grossing that I saw in cinema. Also the funniest movie of last year
Captain Craig
Theater: Inferno, Tom Hanks closer of Robert Langdon series, too bad cause it was decent. Not remotely as bad as RT indicates, predictable but not bad. Home: Batman The Killing Joke, very solid telling of this story even with the "controversial" Batgirl element.

Wrath
In theater: Absolutely Fabulous(4.7m) narrowly beat Hunt for the Wilderpeople (5.2m). Hunt was good, and while Absolutely Fabulous was god-awful it was fun to revisit an old friend I hadnt seen in a long time (the movie, I mean). Though I will say the legacy of the TV show deserved better.
