Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 | May 5, 2023 | The 9th most profitable film of 2023

I´m pretty sure. Divinityseeker is a BS account which just got exposed about lying about One Piece stuff. Now Marvel are probably very worried about Guardians tracking but that guy doesn´t know anything. So wouldn´t put any stock in the Warlock meme stuff but if it´s true it won´t matter if the movie is good like @Menor Reborn says. Stuff like that only becomes problematic when the movie doesn´t deliver. So let´s hope for the best.

I don’t see it doing 2.75x even with amazing WOM. Too much competition with Fast X two weeks after and then Little Mermaid and June is 100% packed. 2.5x at best. I’m thinking 2.35x.

Meh. The lower the OW DOM, the more likely the multiple of the OW DOM is better if a film a well received because not as much upfront demand is burned off.  Even Vol. 2 managed a 2.66 multi off a 146.5M OW DOM. With that, if the OW DOM for Vol. 3 is closer to 100M and rumors of the film being much better than recent MCU fare are true, a multi in the range of 2.75 is absolutely possible or even likely.

Sure... June is crowded but Vol. 3 opens the first weekend in May. Only other big releases in May are Fast X... Fast series is seeing rapidly diminishing returns DOM though. And, Little Mermaid (another Disney release) which won't hurt Vol. 3 at all... Given they're both Disney, they'll likely force the two together with double features at drive-ins and otherwise to boost up both honestly. They've done it before. And, beyond that, they're not really the same audience.

This is a threequel in a major geek franchise that’s being released in the Summer. I don’t think people should just take it as a given that it will have strong legs if it’s well liked. I’m sure it won’t be as front-loaded as MoM, but it’s still an MCU movie.

A trailer like this is in my opinion what´s lacking from the Vol 3 marketing. This shit made me pumped to watch Vol 2. Hope they release a TV spot that has something like this.

I do feel like Gamora is missing from the franchise now. Did we ever learn who made the decision to kill and reset her? Cutting your love interest is sure a choice.

not the letterboxd reviews again, they´re just as realiable

and i think there´s some huge difference between saying ´´i heard the movie is good´´ based on some unfinished cut 4 months before release and saying this now that is 10 days away from premiere and dozens of people certainly watched the finished movie
