So IW increased from last night whereas TLJ dipped slightly from Thursday to Friday morning. Sounds like a good sign for previews.

I'm not checking every theater or showing but at a cursory glance post 11:30am there are 50 shaded out sellouts for the rest of the day. 

 

Beyond that, two theaters I looked a bit closer at  all but one seat sold at 7pm Lincoln Sq IMAX (or just the front row left and maybe a few more at 4pm & 10pm) and the next 12 shows at the Alamo where the message We’re unable to process your order. Please try again pops up  (which means completely  sold out  - annoying) unless it's for a wheelchair space for a showing at 1 am.  Similarly tomorrow at the Alamo there are only two non wheel chair spaces available at 16 shows from 8am to past midnight.  Sunday is the same though only up until 10:45pm - then seats are available.

Wow looked at tomorrows presales st my local theater and every single show from 10am to 1130pm is already more then 50 percent sold out. (Many are full).

TFA OW ticket sales with identical 3D/IMAX/PLF splits + 2.67% annual inflation @ 2.5 years is ~264M.  I think ticket sales end up being about the same for AIW (weaker previews/presales, stronger Fri-Sun/walk-ups).  I expect a 265M OW (+/- 10M for varying 3D/IMAX/PLF splits).

 

Unfortunately I won't have time to do a sellout tracker, but I will post ticket price comps for TA, AOU, TFA/RO/TLJ and anything else I have on record.

80.0M Sat (+17.6%) (With demand-level this high and massive Thursday preview, this jump could be >20%)

67.2M Sun (-16.0%) 

 

254.2M Weekend.  Sat/Sun jump/hold could be softer with spillover, and Friday could be another 1M higher which would push it into the mid 260s.

Today will be a historic box office day single day business for the first time top 70 million.

 

I am going with 75 million for  now.
