They’re saying that:

29 theaters will stay open all night for exactly one night (Thursday)

18 theaters will stay open all night for exactly 2 nights (either Thursday+Fri or Fri+Sat)

17 theaters will stay open all night for all 3 nights   

 

Naturally there’s some potential for one on the theaters in one of those first two categories to turn into full blown open all weekend, or for entirely new theaters to be added to any of the categories.

If it runs at 2500 an hour from here (thatsc the absolute minimum I would think) then thats 48,000ish. If it runs at 3000 an hour, then that would be a little over 51,000.

Already doing better than 2500k/hr, and presales always increase into the nights. 51k is the floor, but I think it can be higher more like +57k

Here is the hourly track against AIW from last year, so if it tracks the same we could see an hour close to 4,000 by the end of the night.

1)After being a very good predictor of S:CM actuals, MT totally diverged from overall BO for them today

2)Shazam will drop much worse than estimated

3) CM will drop much better than estimated

Okay, these ARE the 7pm showings at the PLF screenings.  We're still talking about the second weekend here.

 

If folks want to know where at least some of those pre-sales are going, well, there's a clue.

As of 10:15pm PDT last night it'd sold just over 100 tickets between its ten showings, the vast majority being in the first two showings.

Since you asked earlier, it just popped up on Fandango sometime in the last couple of hours or so.

 

Very curious to see how it'll do now in the next 24 hours or so.
