Really depends on what you're looking for, but usually the most important takeaway for just a casual glance is the comp.  More on that in a bit.   But even that is highly dependent on a movie being either in a similar genre or having a similar pre-sale pattern as folks will buy tickets at different times during a pre-sale window thanks to a very long list of factors.   Add in that movies will have different promotional schedules during their pre-sales (review embargoes, TV ca

Last time I'll be doing this for Thur Pre-Sales

 

NYC Local Regal - 21 showings.  They added another 2D at 9:30pm - almost filled and 9:15pm 3D

I count wheel chair and companion seats which take up 5-6% of seating.  They're 95%+ of the remaining seats for Fan Event, RPX &2D

Friday daytime showings looking really strong at the theaters I track. Many showings with less than a dozen crappy seats left. I suspect over 50% of Friday 8am - 5pm showings will be virtual sellouts.

 

 

I believe true Friday has a chance to see the single day (or damn close) record on its on.

True Friday will hold the single day record for a whole 24 hours until we get Saturday numbers.

That's not the last chance. The new Shrek movie could do that, and in my opinion, with more chances. Nostalgia is huge in Shrek

I think your Friday ceiling for Endgame is low. The rush factor is insane, reviews and WOM are through the roof. Friday night is going to be gigantic. I could see it hitting 73 million but I could also see it hitting 80 million.

I had to manually count this time. All that to say, this is the first official tracking I'll use in the future to ensure accuracy and I'll have to discard the other ones. I timestamped it as well.

I had this problem too at first with Cineplex, until I realized that with the showings that include DBOX seats (usually AVX shows) the count doesn't include the DBOX seats, and the seats available ends up in the negative number when the whole theater sells out.
