You have MTC1 back?

Not really. I cannot do what I was able to do until few days ago. That said tracking early shows is not that hard as I saw only 72 shows at MTC1 :-)

I am not sure if I would be able to track Spidey in entirety, but hope I can get some sample data at worst.

...now, based on what I'm seeing from everyone in the rest of the thread, I know for sure it's not making THAT much money on Friday lol. Still, the number of ticket sales that day compared to Thursday seem promising, and the fact that it's selling just as well, if not more, than some of the other comps is a pretty good sign fwiw. 540/140 is a 3.86x multi. More realistically, $4.54 mil x 3.86 = $17.52 mil

The POWAH of a good Atom Tickets deal. The only big concern I have now is that NTTD benefited greatly from its Atom deal, but it still died once it got to the finish line, and I can see that happening here, with everybody exhausting the promos. Either way, I still feel confident in an opening comparable to the 2016 film at the very least.

Staying steady, especially compared to NTTD, is a good sign. We'll see how tomorrow does, especially in regards to walkups.

Ghostbusters Afterlife Previews(T-1)

MTC2 - 32599/491711 430117.60  3433 shows

I think 4m+ previews should happen. Hopefully it has good walkups and do 85k MTC1/65K MTC2.

I am not sure I will able to get late data for MTC1 tomorrow as the process is cumbersome and time consuming :-(

So there was an Atom deal today? Eh...

Ghostbusters MTC2

Wed:

Showtimes: 45

Seats Sold: 2192/10090 (+456)

$ Sales: 33429 (+6905)

Bond comp: 385k

Thu:

Showtimes: 3249 (+613)

Seats Sold: 23784/471450 (+4580)

$ Sales: 318261 (+59751)

Bond comp: 4.48 million

F9 comp: 3.92 million

I would have said good pace but with the Atom deal...meh.

Ghostbusters MTC2

Wed:

Showtimes: 45

Seats Sold: 4375/10090 (+2183)

$ Sales: 66626 (+32197)

A straight up Bond comp will give over 500k but this skews more MTC2 I think, being a family film.

Thu:

Showtimes: 3377 (+128)

Seats Sold: 30002/483761 (+6218)

$ Sales: 398150 (+79789)

Bond Comp: 4.66 million

F9 Comp: 3.72 million

I believe it's heading for around 4.4 million (67k MTC2). Let's see how tomorrow goes.

Btw this data from a bit earlier than Keyser, so that explains most of the discrepancy.

Encanto Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-7 and Counting

  Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold
TOTALS 0 41 83 6595 1.26%

Comp

0.441x of Cruella's Thu+Fri T-7 (3.4M)

0.922x of Jungle Cruise T-7 (2.49M)

0.954x of Free Guy T-7 (2.1M)

Despite the WDAS pedigree, this isn't the kind of movie to start off ticket sales with any bang. But honestly...this seems pretty good, at least for right now. Being on par with movies like Jungle Cruise and Free Guy, both of which had already been selling tickets days prior in advance at this point in time, is a very solid sign, especially because Encanto will likely gain a lot of ground from these latter two comps.

It's kind of hard to know what would be a good preview # for Encanto, mainly because the last good comparison was Coco, which was four years ago, but I think this is something to be happy about for right now.

Encanto Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-6 and Counting

  Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold
TOTALS 0 41 107 6595 1.62%

Total Seats Sold Today: 24

Comp

0.318x of Cruella's Thu+Fri T-6 (2.45M)

0.930x of Jungle Cruise T-6 (2.51M)

1.081x of Free Guy T-6 (2.38M)

Cruella sold about 148 tickets, an inexplicable jump from everything else and the third-highest sales day for the film (I think that was when the review embargo dropped? I think a showtime or two inexplicably sold out only to no longer be sold out by the time of release? It was one of the two). So don't get too scared about the Cruella issue. Anyways, the film's doing just fine at the moment, barring any inexplicable drop-off.
