Hell if we could get web scraping programs for all the major theater chains, it'd basically become real-time box office and pre-sale tracking.

yes ... we should do this ..

I would love that. Doing it manually is a pain. Just tracking one uber megaplex like AMC Empire 25 is so hard. They have listed Imax among 2D to make it even more confusing !!!!!

Considering the normal previews weren't held, will it be fair to assume that Tue morning and afternoon will be very heavy and rest of the day might not keep as much pace as otherwise expected had the usual previews taken place on Mon evening?

Manually is really a boring work ...  we need to use web-scraping program ... if you are a developer ...

What kind on multi should we expect from the 6-day to DOM total? 2x?

@a2k

i think 2x is a safe bet ... with better reception maybe 2.10x or 2.15x

Yeah, roughly. I was thinking that the Endgame connection would get it even more like 1.9, but reception seems like it might be really good, in which case maybe as high as 2.1, 2.2.

Transformers did 2.05x from its 6-day while TASM did 1.91x. TASM was hit hard by Dark Knight Rises in weekend 3, and while TLK is coming out on weekend 3, and it will ding it quite a bit, I don't think there will be anywhere near as much crossover for obvious reasons. So I'd say 2x is probably a safe bet, maybe slightly above Transformers.

Transformers was not a sequel. It was a breakout in a year where all the sequels disappointed (Spidey 3, Shrek 3 and Pirates 3). I doubt a hyped sequel like this would match the legs of Transformers. in 2012 ASM had significantly lower hype being a reboot and so it had a good run until TDKR and Aurora had a big impact on BO.

One problem with this is that legs get shorter every few years, so comparing the legs of a film released in 2007 or 2012 is a little risky.

Just something to keep in mind.

If it goes for 225 I would not be surprised at all to see 425 total

World cup semi finals. If you aren't watching you're missing out!

Been intense.  Much more impressed with England than I was with France.  US has a real fight on its hand if it wants to make it to the finals.

British are the exact opposite of them in real life. Aggressive and intense. This is like the British on 10 pints.

They just missed on an equalizer after a review. Been chatting about it a bit in the CC thread.
