Not really sure what to use as a comp for this film, since as I understand it horror isn't that pre-sale heavy.  Maybe.  For now, gonna throw in a couple recent ones and hope for the best.

Comps (probably lol - use at own risk)

0.7327x as many tickets sold as Aladdin after two days of pre-sales

0.8862x as many tickets sold as King of the Monsters after two days of pre-sales.

0.2098x as many tickets sold as The Lion King after two days of pre-sales.

PRE-SALES NOTE: Aladdin and The Lion King had 25 days of pre-sales and KotM had 21 days of pre-sales, while It 2 had 36.  Also, like It 2, some theaters had KotM tickets on sale for a few days before they were officially announced to the public for sale.

T-34:

Aladdin  173 seats sold  [0 sellouts/68 shows   |    9001/9405 seats  | 404 seats sold   | 4.30% sold]

KotM        47 seats sold  [0 sellouts/57 shows   |    7620/7954 seats  | 334 seats sold   | 4.20% sold]

TLK        261 seats sold  [0 sellouts/138 shows | 15836/17247 seats | 1411 seats sold | 8.18% sold]

===

Yes, I know these comps are sub-optimal, but I don't have any horror comps, so these will have to do.  If folks have suggestions, I'm willing to hear them.

The four missing theaters checked in today, but only some of the showings are appearing on Fandango (they're all up on the corp websites), and only appeared half-way through the day.  So they accounted for nearly no sales.  They'll show up on Fandango eventually but for now, they might not contribute many sales.

Either way, strong-ish day, I guess?  Still really don't like the comps, but I'm not sure what's better, as it appears that even these family films came out of the gate stronger (on a percentage basis) than a horror flick did.

FWIW, It 2 did beat Pika Pika's second day and then some.  It also had a pretty lengthy pre-sale period (30 days as opposed to 36) so I might rope it in after all.

H&S and Fallen Kingdom given the walkup heaviness of those 2?

H&S was probably too weak at the beginning (It 2 is currently 4.4179x H&S [25.62m]) and I think JW:FK was too strong at the beginning (It 2 is currently .3535x JW:FK [5.4m]).

The JW:FK comp is more or less in the range of the Aladdin comp [5.13m].  But that makes sense since family films are also notoriously walkup based.

Just appears that horror is a different kind of walkup based movie.

So I did track IT numbers last night, but I was so tired and exhausted, I only couldn't do it until now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Porthos those charts. 😍

I'd been getting more and more annoyed/disgusted with the ugliness of the hand made separators in my old comps, and I finally sat down and did something about it.  Did it all via the source code editor on the forum post thingy (right next to the BIU selector) as well.   👍

Thanks as well to your suggestions on it, BTW.  Wouldn't have looked nearly as good without your feedback. :)

The one thing I really like about it, besides it looking nicer, is I can put in more movie comps in more or less the same amount of space as before.  Gives a nice overview of things without looking too cluttered, IMO.

The good thing is, I have a "draft thread" in my Inbox folder where I can grab that whenever I need to use something and copy-n-paste the fields I need at will.

Was a little bit of elbow grease but I think it looks nicer in the end, and thus worth it. :)

I am, of course, just kidding when I say that I plan on blowing all my hard earned credit in a massive flame out this coming December.

...

I'm actually gonna start spending it in November right alongside @captainwondyful, before going "All In" in December. :stirthepot:  :stirthepot:  :stirthepot:

Spoiler

Seriously though.  Many thanks for the compliment.  It is very appreciated. :)

Why do you think I am doing the Top Fifty Musical List Reveal In December? It will be a great distraction from the Full Mama Rose Meltdown that will come with Frozen.
