It's been hovering around 60-70 per day pace for a few days. It's a really good pace to be at in its middling days of presales.

$4.8m avg.  In preview sales Venom 2 under performed here by about 30% and SC over performed by about 50%.  If I subtract both the avg is almost the same at $4.76m.  Joker was also very pre-sale/preview heavy here.  On the other end AA and FF didn't have any pre-existing property fan base so more walk ups.  Take away the top 3 and bottom 3 and the  avg is $4.93m.  Still in the same area.  PLFs are over performing which means higher ticket price but also maybe fewer regular walk ups.  So $4.8 - $5.25m.  Basically $5m

MTC1 is at 82474/326130 1430719.68 1813 shows just before shows are starting. Definitely thinking its going over 5m. Let us see how walkups are before I hone in on a number. Will update somewhere between 8-9M PST.

Salt Lake City Sugarhouse Cinemark update, 4:00 PM.

 

Dune

Previews 229/388 59% and two private watch parties. (Bond had one, IIRC.)

Friday 278/750 37.1%

 

Solid final day as Dune did almost 60% of its previous total. The NTTD comp came in at $4.35 but I think that's understated as Bond had significantly more showtimes and particularly, more early and late evening shows to choose from. Will monitor walkups but most of the seats left now are either front row or shows after 9:30, so I'm guessing there won't be a huge surge.

 

Given how well the PLFs are doing, and how strong Friday looks, I'm going to go with a preview night of $5.4 and a weekend of $44.2.

This is definitely looking to do better than NTTD couple of weeks ago. I am feeling good about 40m+ OW at this point.

It was moving at 3.8k per hour last I checked at MTC2 which is pretty good and on par with TSS (which had better walkups than Bond). I think at the very least it won't miss what I put in the afternoon and could go higher.
