This makes no sense

This is one of the strangest think I ever heard, what ?

And Flatliners was a studio movie ? Sure I did read about that, but all the time I must have the same reaction of surprise that it was not an indie / complex financing distributed by Liongates or something like that.

Theater counts for next week:

Geostorm: 3,000+

Only the Brave: 2,400

Tyler Perry's Boo 2! A Madea Halloween: 2,250

The Snowman: 1,800

Between terrible reviews and a nonexistent marketing campaign, The Snowman is shaping up to be a total dump.

2nd local

Obviously, selling well last minute...not gonna see how high it goes before theater start, but I'm expecting higher:)...

Yeah, The Snowman is a dump.

Also, those sneak previews seem like a great sign of confidence for Only the Brave. I wouldn't be surprised if it pulls a #1 opening over Boo 2 next weekend between the aggressive marketing campaign and really good reviews (and most likely WOM too).

That's a low TC for OTB, especially after BOP originally reported 2,900.

Not surprised at all by Snowman's TC. My AMC still hasn't put showtimes up for it, and considering how long it took us to get Wind River, I'm curious if we're even getting Snowman.

Final Thursday counts:

HDD: 32/78

Foreigner: 16/78

I don't have many good HDD comps. It's way ahead of Wish Upon and ICAN but far behind It, Annabelle, and Alien. Bye Bye Man and Rings both finished around 16 tickets IIRC, but the old Buzz thread is purged.

That seems decent at a first glance for The Foreigner, but they're the weakest previews of September and October that aren't Friend Request :jeb!: It's at least 55% behind AA and more than 50% less than AM's final total of 40 tickets for the night.

Impressive that AM is expanding in its third week

I'll do a Friday report in about an hour
