Actually, I think MI6 will mirror Equalizer 2 in presale-to-final OW number ratios...

 

It seems this is another movie that seems perfect to Moviepass, and not prebuy...

 

Equalizer 2 had pretty poor presales (and really prebuys all weekend, b/c it never topped MM2), but it won the weekend...and I'd expect MI6 to play the same way...poorer than expected presales than you'd expect from what the final OW ends up being...

 

Although, this being said, I'm not in the "this will blow the doors off" camp for now...

I really think that with Equalizer overperforming that the pressure is on for Fallout to beat tracking. I’m not expecting anything crazy like 70, but I would really like to see 60.

 

Side note on equalizer, just given my experience with how it’s performig at my theatre, it’s hard to believe how well it’s doing. Only equivalent of about 36M for its first five days here, while Mama Mia has had a 5-day start of about 115M

Not surprised by Blindspotting’s TC. It was supposed to open by me this weekend, but the theater decided not to get it anymore, which is unfortunate but whatever.

MI 5: Rogue Nation - 4m previews/ 2800 theaters from 8pm/ 13.9x/ $55.5m

Equalizer 2 - 3.10m previews / 2934  theaters From 4pm / 11.6x /   $36m

JP:FK: $15.3m previews/ 9.7x / $148m    

 

Massive jump for MI6 on Wed.  I'm not sure what to compare it too.  Not the CBM movies or Solo because it didn't have big pre-sales before hand. 

 

We also can't compare which sales for what day since that ap wasn't updating on Monday and ha;f or Tues either


JW:FK or Equalizer 2?    JW:FK most likely though had a larger family walk up crowd while EQ2 though rated R probably skews closer to MI6's fan base in age

 

Comparing just Wed numbers would give MI6

$8.9m previews compared to JW:HK 

$6.92m compared to EQ2 - though that was skewed higher with 4pm previews-  so maybe closer to $6m for MI6?

So, how about some Teen Titans Go presales from an Atom theater (Regal)? (PS- my  non-Atom theater (Cinemark) is screwing up this morning, so I'll have to wait to see if I can grab those - last night, they were not good.)  Atom has had a deal all week for TTG and I think we'll see a kinda dichotomy of sales all over the place...

 

2nd local (Regal)

3 showings - 25/90, 30/90, 2/90 for 57/270 (pretty good at 9am:)

 

So, last night, my Cinemark was about at 10 tickets sold for its 3 showings...if it stops erroring me, I'll try to grab those (or I'll wait and grab them later today)...

 

UPDATE - 9/330 for Cinemark at 9am...you can tell that people are flocking to the Atom theater and/or AMC triple reward promos for this movie...gonna have some sky high numbers and some atrocious ones for different theater presales, I expect...
