MaxAggressor
https://deadline.com/2019/01/aquaman-crosses-1-billion-worldwide-bumblebee-china-international-box-office-1202534340/ Paramount’s Transformers reboot was tops again this weekend, fueled by a strong performance in China where it has now grossed $105.7M and was the lead movie in that market — down just 58% — despite some new local entries. With $35.6M in 64 markets this weekend, the offshore cume is now $256.3M. Major market totals elsewhere now include the UK ($13.5M), Mexico ($11M), France ($8.5M) and Germany ($7.3M). Japan releases on March 22.

titanic2187
BUMBLEBEE Paramount Paramount’s Bumblebee zipped past the $400M mark worldwide on Saturday, and through Sunday has a $412.3M global total including $296.4M internationally. The Hailee Steinfeld-starrer held No. 1 in China and still has Japan to come on March 22. That’s been a solid play for the Transformers franchise, so there’s more fuel in the VW Bug’s tank ahead. The current weekend was worth $20.9M in 64 markets. China accounted for $16.3M of that at 7,154 locations and despite the arrival of eight new pictures. This is the 3rd weekend in a row at No. 1 with a cume to date of $137.7M and an extension to play through the New Year holiday. Elsewhere, the top weekend holds were in the Philippines ($869K/207 cinemas/$3.3M cume); the UK ($798K/497/$14.7M); France ($419K/473/$9M); and Germany ($205K/388/$7.6M).

TLK did $15 million. I’d expect that for Bumblebee more or less.

Wow Hailee and the Bee really kicked the crap out of Emily Blunt and the mouse. I'm glad for Paramount. I was hoping for 4x production budget but 3.7x is almost as nice. Paramount got $60M to sell China rights. $135M Budget - $60M = $75M $455M Worldwide - $170M China = $285M with probably another $15M coming from Japan. So a $300M gross on a $75M budget is pretty great. It will do 4x for Paramount. Edited February 5, 2019 by Mr Impossible
