Krissykins
Melissa McCarthy really can open a comedy: Ghostbusters $46,000,000 The Heat $39,000,000 Identity Thief $34,000,000 Spy $29,000,000 Bridesmaids $26,000,000 The Boss $23,600,000 Tammy $21,600,000 All of her starring openings have been over $20m. Her comedies have totalled more than $850m in the US (not including Hangover 3, Back Up Plan, St Vincent etc). Will this continue her run? Sunday's gonna be a big day for it with it being Mother's Day.

Yeh, Snatched increased 24% on the Sunday last year, despite already increasing 29% on its Saturday. It’s weekend multiplier was 3.9x.

MovieGuyKyle17
So apparently they are scaling back on the number of theaters this is going too. The one theater I work for was suppose to get this on Friday but WB isn't giving it to us. Granted we are a smaller theater but yeah.

LonePirate
As is usually the case when reviews are embargoed until the date of release, they are brutal for LOTP. Here is the RT blurb from The Guardian: “McCarthy remains the life of the party, but this is not a party you'll want to attend.”

Any non-holiday themed movie that's rated 11 months in advance should automatically be a red flag until proven otherwise (IE A Star Is Born is already rated but has strong buzz). Jonwo
Reviews don't really matter as it'll make a decent amount domestically and the budget is fairly low so it could make say $70-80m and still make a profit for WB.
Taylor
My fave blurb so far: "McCarthy and Falcone are clearly in love, and it's nice they like to do things together, but does it have to be movies?" 2
