Did you get a confirmation or anything from them?

I got one too. I don't think it's viable for long but if the stock market wants to pay for me to catch up on movies I'm all for it...especially with a great lineup over the next 12 months.

-they did email me a confirmation

That's the spirit:)...

I admit, I did the same thing with Jet.com, helping them figure out their buy more, save more algorithms before I went back to Amazon shopping...no reason that you shouldn't take advantage of that which is offered cheaply and fairly to you...if a company offers you a great price, take it:)...

Detroit came at a bad time and I think it'll eventually find an audience but expanding too quickly was its downfall.

Detroit was too brutal & real, they should have just had it stay in limited release.

What if Kiefer cameos? 🤔

You joke but if Kiefer is supposed to have a role in that film, basically reprising his role from the original, which means it less a remake and an actual sequel. The hell?

It is a sequel, not a remake. They are hiding it now because they probably realized it is better to sell it as a remake/reboot, but this is a sequel with Kiefer reprising his role from the original movie.

Great! What's the point of watching it now!

CJohn spoiling a movie before it even comes out. What's his punishment, mods?

I am not spoiling shit. It was widely announced as such lol. Even the IMDb page has Kiefer listed as Nelson.

Yea but like Flatliners is my most anticipated movie of the whole year so I didn't want to hear anything about it...and now you've spoiled it. With one post. One single post just ruined my whole year.

Thanks.

Yeah I know now, they've been selling it like a remake though, so it was easy to get confused & think it was.

Got to eat crow on Annabelle2. I don't know how it fell just 55% in mid-August as a horror sequel. CONJ2 had very good reception too and it fell 63% in July after opening 40m. Schools have started to open but weekdays right now are still very solid. Monday drops are only low-mid 50% for most movies, including Annabelle2 (56% drop on Monday).

Also, it's previews were more front-loaded compared to the weekend than CONJ2. Easily expected a close to 60% drop if not more.

EDIT: CONJ2 did have big comp in the 2nd weekend. 135 Dory and 35.5 CI. Dory despite being an animation also attracted non-parent grownups due to nostalgia and time gap between Nemo and Dory.

Those are some damn fine legs for a second reboot that is coming five years after the first one. Anyone doubting this is getting to $330m with an actual great shot at topping SM3's $336m would be in denial at this point. Marvel Studios has given Sony their biggest hit in years. Let's pray that they mess everything with their stupid spin-offs.
