I haven’t seen it since then, but I remember it was really bad. Then again, low expectations on video is a big difference from seeing it in theaters. Hauer is always fun to watch, for sure.

Rutger Hauer in e.g. The Jugger (aka The Blood of the Heroes) was intense (the uncut version), also some other low budget 'high bloody' films, obviously in Blade Runner and...

But has here someone seen him in pre-Blade Runner European produced movies too? Like e.g. in Soldaat van Oranje? As that one got a GG nom I guess it might have made it in the US / got released there in some way or the other?

30 minutes into 2019, and I am feeling lonely. My whole family is with me, yet. Have you guys felt like this during happy occasions, or on weekends where weekdays were busy?

Happy New year.

If no one out of the family / ppl have similarities in the general POV on live or so, no one there to have an open / unrestricted conversation,... yes

Also Happy New Year!

I have my wife for that. It's just..... One more friend was needed. My all friends have moved elsewhere. Me, my wife and another friend would have worked. Two people, is boring.

Enjoy!

I’ve seen SOLDIER OF ORANGE. I’ve been interested in his others but never got around to them.

There was a movie he did in the late 80's early 90's, I think it was called Blind Fury.   It was always on but I remember it being kind of fun(not sure how it holds up today.)

Oh, BLIND FURY was awesome! Cheesy as fuck but that was part of the charm.

Is that the one where he fights as a blind with swords?

So, I don't know how it works in your countries, but here every New Year HBO has a premiere of a surprise blockbuster at midnight. Last year it was GOTG Vol2, but this time, out of all the movies they could've put, they chose effing Justice League. Man, I still can't believe that someone actually approved Cavill's mouth in the opening of the movie, that's one of the most abysmal works of VFX I've ever seen in a modern blockbuster.

Oh, and it's finally midnight here, not that this night means much to me, but I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2019, get rich, get laid, and above all, get threadbanned at least once, and then you can tell that you've lived your life to the fullest!

Oh man, this wasn't deliberately planned or anything, but I am so glad that I ended up picking One Cut of the Dead for my final movie of 2018. There's still half an hour until midnight here in the UK, so I can quite accurately say I laughed harder at it than any movie I have seen or will see this year.

I'll probably talk about it more when I get round to doing my end of year retrospective, but considering how terrible this past year has been both personally and just in general, it's really nice to be going into the new year on a relative high.
