It's good though the 2nd half is pure popcorn action. The first draft of the script was better, Nolan rewrites were bizarre.

I agree the climax is a bit "rushed", but it's still great in general. I love how they set up Batman's entire origin, especially with the league of shadows. It was so well-done.

If $12M in previews (the upper limit of Deadline's "estimate") is correct, then Justice League is looking at a $35.3M opening day if it follows the same share of opening day from previews as Batman v Superman; $38M if it follows Suicide Squad; $38.7M if it follows what 'Thor: Ragnarok' did a couple weekends ago; $39.7M if it follows GOTG Vol. 2 from this summer.

If previews are $13M (re: Deadline's "some tell us ... $13M"), then the opening day gross is: $38.2M (if it follows BvS); $41.1M (Suicide Squad); $41.9M (Thor: Ragnarok); $43M (GOTG Vol. 2).

Preview Grosses for Some Comic Book Films and the Share of Opening Day

WB probably heard the backlash with the decision to reveal Doomsday in that spoiler-filled BvS trailer so perhaps they felt fans would be happy with them not spoiling Superman's appearance. Of course the problem with that is marketing Superman would of course help increase awareness while revealing Doomsday does little to help bring audiences in.

Or maybe they should have not killed Superman in the 2ND FILM!

Yes, seemed like a knee jerk reaction to hide him (just like the 119m runtime). It could still have made some sense if the dirt does not rise at the end of BVS. I do feel for WB though. What were they supposed to do given the knowledge they then had AND Wonder Woman exploded in everyone's consciousness with a rare theatrical run. They probably felt that Bat + Wondy will be enough along with Sup being teased. Then there was AQM and Flash too. Cyborg to some degree and Sup in a bigger way took a backseat to make the marketing more coherent and less cluttered.
