Oh, BTW, I JUST stumbled on this method(using admissions as a medium for number crunching).  Maybe others do it.  It is all right there!!   I hope these posts get read so people know things!  I discovered it 5 weeks ago during the Madea weekend.  I was looking at how the tickets sold per venue would compare to Happy Death Day's Saturday.   Then I found this method very fascinating and simplistic.  You can round something like 8.4 down to just 8 when analyzing weekday numbers like Happy Death Day's PTA.  For the derby applications, I rebounded well  4 weeks ago for Jigsaw and once again used all kinds of daily comparisons.  I found 200 admissions on Friday pretty standard for Jigsaw and all comparisons.  600 for the weekend.  And got first place.  I dove deeper into this method and got second place the week after. Then, like all else in life, I crashed down to 27th place on Veteran's Day weekend.  And this was the weekend I spent the most amount of time on long bus rides sifting through all kinds of comparisons.

How can you think that movie which has over 80% woman audience(BM2) will gain almost 15% on Thanksgiving Day?

I would say 30% down is waaay more possible scenario.

That drop is in between Frozen (27%) and Moana (36%) and the same as Tangled (32%).

 

JL held better than all the Hunger Games sequels but not nearly as well as FB.

That’s a better Thursday drop for JL than MJ2.

MJ2 increase gives it (106%) 17.5 Friday 

FB increase gives it (92%) 16.3 Friday.

It might fall in between since its Thursday drop was also in between the two.
