I'm pretty certain Good Dinosaur was a non-starter in merchandising, too. I haven't seen any sort of merchandising push with staying power since it opened.

 

Will say that though I'm sure people are truly loving the movie, I don't imagine Coco having anywhere close to a revenue stream like Cars either outside of maybe future Halloween/DDLM seasons. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, just further supports the notion that Pixar did it for the art.

Coco will do probably $11-$12 million for Thanksgiving. If not a small drop or increase, considering people may go to the evening shows.

Instead of showing daily breakdowns in terms of millions or per venue averages, I want to show it in terms of tickets sold per venue.

Basically it is this.

A film makes $1,000,000 in 1,000 venues.  It has a per-THEATER(or venue)AVERAGE of $1,000.  If the average ticket price of 2017 is $8.93, then 112 tickets were purchased on average at each LOCATION. 

Then I have it worked out like this:

 

BOM 2017 avg ticket price = $8.93.  If there is a different avg ticket price, it is because I wrote it in myself.  Kingsman should be at $7.50.  Some places it is at $5 and under now.  Other places, more $$$!
