Disney confirms you guyssss.   Tuesday 8:35 AM: Disney has just confirmed what we saw earlier: Marvel’s Black Panther is the second-biggest 4-day opener of all-time at the domestic B.O. with $242.6M, after Force Awakens and beating Last Jedi. Monday also marked an all-time record with $40.167M, beating Force Awakens‘ $40.11M.

Definitely seems like it, at least from RTH’s vantage point so far in the evening.

 

Black Panther only needs to get close to $60M - a Sunday of $58.3M or higher would give Black Panther $200M for the 3-day weekend, based on estimates. Would be fun to see it happen! :)

Also, TLJ suffered from one of the worst multipliers in cinematic history. So Black Panther should do at least 750 or 800 with a above average multiplier, correct?

 

I never thought I would see the day that a comic book movie had a chance to beat a SW SAGA films DOM and WW
