I just want $400M+ WW.

It seems to be heading for nearly 50+m 4 day opening domestically and reviews are great so the legs should be decent too. Its rating in China is very high as well and it has a chance of doing 100-120 there. So it should easily get to 400+. But with such a high budget its gonna need to do a lot more than 400 to turn a profit.

It probably depends on Spielberg / Amblin production deal quite a bit how much it need (does he has first dollar point ?).

Budget can growth quite a bit before reaching profitability with a big name director/producer like that.

What would be a good comparison? ASM2? I don't remember a Big director film from those leaks.

For an extreme example you can look at MIB 3:

At the break even point they estimated it would have cost them 89.65m in bonus, making the budget you need to have in mind for where it breakeven point would end up is more 249.7+90m budget, 340m.

And you can compare it to After Earth were people accepted to not have first dollar gross to see how low the GP Break was estimated on that one (262m).

For good comparison there is not many, Da Vinci Code (177m net budget), Hancock (166m) could be but a bit of a different era and RPO first dollar gross will not be close I would imagine because there is no movie star getting them also.
