I stuck with 239m as my prediction, to the bitter end. At least I didn't let the hype consume me though, and put in 300m in the derby, unlike some certain users. :sparta:

I was the only one with big enough balls to predict 300M there.

I was interested to see how this was comparing to Ultrons early reception

Infinity War 9.2 from 62 thousand votes

(Force Awakens 8.9 from 71 thousand votes)

I think there’s potential for A4, TLK or IX to break the OW record next year (maybe not the Adjusted one, but I think ticket price inflation will put it in play).  I think this year was a bit too early.

That being said we do only have a preview number and there’s always the potential the weekend goes crazy and we get a 260m OW or something.  But I’m think 215-255m or so is the likely range

I see:

A4: $235M OW

TLK: $275M OW

IX: $240M OW

lame. shoulda beat Ultron's total in 1 day :sparta:

100.000 tickets sold in one day would have been something lmao. It never happened here.

2019 is fucking bonkers. Could be the greatest year ever for us box office nerds.

I honestly do believe the NFL draft deflated numbers ever so slightly. I'd say $1M to $3M. I think the floor is $225M+ OW DOM.

Not trying to burst your bubble but no one really watches the NFL Draft the way they used to. Especially when you can get an update for every single pick. I say this as someone who is a huge NFL Fan. I didn't watch the draft yesterday and I didn't watch IW either.

The most anticipated Marvel film ever, and still nearly $20 below TFA's previews. TFA truly was a monster of epic proportions. I thought Infinity Wars would be the first film to have a real shot at getting close to those preview numbers. If Infinity War can't, it's hard to see another film getting near that $57m number.

Might have the record for most $100M OWs. A lot of movies have chances (I’m including some fucking wild chances):

Dark Phoenix

Captain Marvel

Godzilla 2

Dumbo

Shazam

Avengers 4

Men In Black

Aladdin

Pets 2

Toy Story 4

Homecoming 2

Lion King

Hobbs x Shaw OTP

IT Chapter 2

Wonder Woman 2

Sonic The Hedgehog

Frozen 2

Episode IX

2umanji
