INCREDIBLES 2 Weekend |🏆| ACTUALS: 182.7M OW | O8 19M, Tag 14.9M, Solo 10M, DP2 8.7M, IW 5.4M

With that Sunday hold it's slightly ahead of Dory's internal multiplier. Shrek 2 is definitely in play which is really saying something.

I didn't want to consider it, but you'd have to be pretty damn pessimistic not to think it's a possibility at this point.

@That One Guy laugh reacts to a 3.8x multi being doable while overlooking the fact that well-received animation clears that bar all the time.

Didnt say it was locked, said it was definitely doable (which based off precedent it is)

"All the time" is an exaggeration, this decade the only summer releases that pulled it off have been DM1 and Inside Out. (And DM2, but with a Wed opening - take that out and it likely misses.)

Dory multiplier gets Incredibles 2 to $647m dom!

So under Shrek 2. Excellent news. The King is undefeated. His reign will never be ogre.

With that opening, I think this can follow other well received animated films like Avatar, which is something that also had huge initial demand and wasn't aided by a holiday in any way.  A 9.73x multi gets Incredibles 2 to $1,742,829,358, which is definitely a possibility.

It must be nice to have the information of all the drive in-double features paying 2x for 1 on this particular weekend.  One could collect all the Solo + Incredibles + Wrinkle + BP double bills and really dig into the actuals and daily % holds and see if they can amount some .100k going towards each of them.  Another weekend to add with the 2012 May Avengers + John Carter

Noooooo we needed to have an opening in 180-190 range to make the OW charts look better!!!

it can happen with a huge 3 year production and the largest budget ever.  They could make a 500m budget Halo movie and try and pay people to see it to open close to 200m, but it likely wouldn't last on the top 10 chart.

Why is that one guy so hateful towards I2? He was wrong about OW even after friday number. Jack-jack for the win.

I wouldn't be hateful if people here weren't overpredicting it and saying shit like "a 3.5x multi is locked!!!!!!"

Also it's a Disney film, it'd be #offbrand for me to not be hateful towards it
