This movie should not be happening at Lionsgate. This is a $100 million dollar Roland Emmerich movie. I just don't see this being successful at Lionsgate. Only excited for Patrick Wilson

I would imagine international market sale for an Emmerich movie could be high enough to make that a not too dangerous move, they tend to greenlight only if they can finance most of the movie budget in advance.
