There was a screening in Beijing this week. I heard the movie is OK for general audience. But it's pity the Chinese distributor is Bona Film Group, which always do nothing on marketing and distribution job when they have a foreign movie. The box office performance here could be weak.

So you think this could have been a strong player in China with better marketing?

Great CGI with fantastic battles, actors bring their A game.

Dignified as hell.

No whiners against the system detected in this movie, only men that face adversity with dignity.

This movie will cleanse you.

Terrible CGI and horrible performances from a talented cast (New Jersey accent though was unintentionally hilarious). Cheesy as hell

The toxic mascunility in this movie was off the charts..

Only man on these cruisers, carriers and planes, so that women wouldn't have to suffer

terrible & horrible wounds

mutilations that would leave you handicaped for life

being smashed to death,

burned alive

having limbs severed

being cut in half

agonizing for months and years in hospitals under excruciating pain.

drowning

suffocating to death

etc

etc

etc

...

&

facing death in the eyes on a DAILY baisis

&

well,

dying, you know as in, loosing your life.

No biggie.

What kind of medieval times that was.

What was the Male Patriarchy thinking ?

The brave wah-men of the 1940's deserved to experience all of this.

Mandy Moore portraying the supportive wifre was a disgusting sight.

All the 1930's & 1940's kids don't know what they missed if equality had been achieved.

Imagine the joy of being an

orphan

or

having both mutilated, disfigured, handicaped, depressed with post traumatic stress parents.

So much injustice in those times.

Glad we have progressed.

A friend of mine who is a fellow big time WW2 buff saw it last night and said it was better then he expected coming from Roland Emmerich,, whose previous historical films have been underwhelming, but still a lot of crap and not quite as good as the 1976 movie.
