I wonder if Monday's gross will have a negative effect on MM2 Tuesday's increase...i.e. it getting a smaller bump then everything else in the top 10?!

We'll see but most likely not because most female-oriented films increase strong on Tuesdays. I'd say that an increase in the 30s will happen today.

Decent Monday number for BP, should have a weekly haul of just under 50k to put it just under 50k away.

Ant-Man looks like a favorite to pass Solo afterall now, but could be really tight.

Incredible 2 drop just 19% from last Mon, enjoy its climb to $600M.

Can its sweet late legs get it to pass TA?

Excellent gif that fits I2's march to $600M+ DOM. But, let's not get carried away here. I don't see any chance in hell it passes Avengers DOM total.

MM2 is gonna get a 4x+ multi. Won't even be shocked if it gets closer to 5x.

Comedies and adult-appealing films have easily had the best legs this summer. MM2 checks both of those boxes. Plus, as evidenced by the almost infinite legs of The Greatest Showman, there is a market for crowd-pleasing musicals.

As of today, a 3x for MM2 is pretty much a certainty. I think a 3.5x is looking really good as well. I want to see the second weekend drop before feeling confident about a 4x. That being said, all the current conditions in the marketplace suggest a 4x is certainly possible.

Is there anything that can even remotely be considered direct competition in the next month? The Spy Who Dumped Me I guess? Eh, I see it getting a 4+ and finishing somewhere just under $150M DOM.

There's nothing really aimed at the target audience of older women until A Simple Favor in nearly two months, though The Spy Who Dumped Me and Crazy Rich Asians will likely have some level of appeal to them as well.

Crazy Rich Asians is going to have crazy good legs. Quote me. The book is so much fun, I see another Help situation.

My mom said that movie was the one of the over half dozen trailers that played before our showing of Mamma Mia that she wanted to see the most. Definitely has late summer sleeper potential. The hysterical Constance Wu deserves to be a movie star.
