As long as it takes the record from Venom, I’ll be satisfied.

Why will you be satisfied? You wanted us to fail and we disappointed you when we defied the critics? This will be a hollow victory for you even if it does beat our opening you can’t take away our success:Venom:

A 9 year wait.

I'm pretty sure everyone would like to pretend the Rob Zombie movies don't exist.  Heck, most of the sequels are best forgotten (Halloween: Resurrection, anyone?).

Huge early numbers. I'm not even sure it'll be that enormously frontloaded since it's probably skewing older than most horror movies do.

I want Halloween to beat that piece of shit Venom and take the October record.

I'm glad people still love the original despite this social climate where you can get called a mysoginist for sneezing the wrong way. Because it does have somewhat antiquated views of female sexuality. I mean he kills his sister for being a slut then gets out 20 years later and kills more sluts. Virgin survives.

Runtimes w/out credits and trailer attachments for next week:

Hunter Killer: 1:52. Robin Hood and Cold Pursuit (that the new Neeson joint?)

Indivisible: 1:54. Attachments unknown (probably doesn't have any)

Johnny English: 1:23. Grinch and Dragon 3

Next week is gonna be bleak. I wouldn't be surprised if Hunter Killer does mid-single digits.

Hunter Killer is a dreadful title

I hope it hits 100M, just to see the kind of shitstorm that happens with studios and their horror franchises afterwards. Psycho would get another remake/reboot, folks

Get Vince Vaughn and Julianne Moore back. Have Judy Greer as Moore's daughter or whatever.

Why not get Gus Van Sant back too while we're at it? He'll get it right this time, just do the same movie shot for shot

Apologize if that comes across as dipshitty from my part, but.... I don't think that, if a Psycho revival is ever to happen (not that I think it should, but Universal might just try everything in the wake of Halloween), anyone attached to the '98 remake should not be allowed to come back. Vaughn was actually part of the problem as I found him horribly miscast, and I think he's a very good actor.
