Pay TV (cable + satellite) was an over 200 billion business in 2017 the most ever, a good growth from 143 billion 10 year's ago in 2008, Netflix was 11.7 billion last year, to put stuff in perspective, TV didn't end it is still about 4-5 times bigger then all the over the top stuff and should still be 250% bigger in 2022.

Projection are for a slow decline and still be a 200 billion business in 2022.

Netflix is essentially bankrupt, its working off the goodwill of its creditors.

VENOM had a 15.6 OS-China weekend for 342.9 cume.

Adding about 1.75-2x the weekend more will give it 370-375 OS-China

215 Dom + 370-375 OS-China = 585-590 WW-China

110-115 from China will get it to 700 WW and that looks more likely than not.

Dare I say that it could explode in China for close to 140 and be on track for DEADPOOL2's 734.25  :Venom:

From DHD:

20th Century Fox/New Regency/GK Films’ Bohemian Rhapsody had the best Sunday hold of any title in the top 10, -29% from Saturday with $13.4M sending the Freddie Mercury biopic’s opening to $51M, $1M higher than the studio was spotting yesterday. Even better, Bohemian Rhapsody bested the lowest end of its $35M tracking projection by 46%.

Meanwhile, industry estimates show Disney’s expensive The Nutcracker and the Four Realms with an estimated $5.8M Sunday, -33% for a $20.3M opening in second place. That’s $300K higher than what Disney reported. Paramount’s Nobody’s Fool earned an estimated $3.2M Sunday, -43% for a revised thee-day of $13.7M which is $300K shy of where the studio was spotting it. These figures are from early morning industry estimates.

That's a massive number for BR considering the genre. We are going to get swamped with musical biopics now unfortunately.

But on the plus side, it's going to shatter the gross of any other movie with prominent LGBT themes ever released.
