I’m am also a sucker for musicals so there’s that too. And it’s ambitious is something to be admired.

You know, I think that, if Lego 2 manages an OW above $30M, it can still manage a domestic total above $100M, just by the quality and word-of-mouth alone. Though I do admit the eventual competition (Alita, How To Train Your Dragon, Captain Marvel) could hold the legs back.

gonna see Lego 2 tomorrow. There is no possible way on earth it could be better than the first one. I'm expecting it to suck, hoping it at will be pretty good fun, but its impossible that it could be better than the first......

Yeah, box office and movie going in general getting further monopolized by a few Genre and a few franchise is never a good thing.

I can't believe the first Lego movie came out 5 years ago... I think this was just a few years late. Not really much of a novelty anymore, kind of like HTTYD2 in some ways.
