Man. They're gonna continue to advertise Alita; they'll be plastering "#1 Movie in America" in all the commercials and banners and newspaper ads. I think its status as #1 can only help things along. Because if Lego 2 had gotten #1, Alita wouldn't be #1. Plain and simple.

What else would be number 1? Even if Alita had a +5% anti-gravity (lol) and HTTYD falls to Lego2 level it would still be #1.

That $6mn Monday estimates from Fox was way too much. Though I would have liked a 40% drop but considering how well Sunday, held $5.2mn as absolute number was something I was expecting on Saturday.

Animations always really strong on Presidents’ Day. Alita may take #1 back tomorrow.

Kingsman1 dom (128.26) did a great 3.07x it's FSSM (41.76)

 

If Alita FSSM (33.45 using @Charlie's revised Monday of 5.2) has the same 3.07x multiplier we get a dom of

8.7 Thursday + 33.45 * 3.07 = 111.4

Alita will be lucky to do 25% of its BO DOM...
