What makes me hopefull for Alitas run are the steady increases from estimates. That normally happens only to films who really enjoy good WOM. Could indicate some strong holds going forwards and hopefully towards 100M.

Honestly that's a fantastic drop for Live Action on this holiday Monday. On par with Black Panther's -33.2% which had a spillover effect to it as well.

Looks like we're in for a solid hold next weekend.

Well, Monday is basically a guess, it's not even noon on the west coast.

GLASS is 43 away from SPLIT's 278.5 ww (including Dom Monday but not os Monday)

Dom could add 10-15 leaving os to get 28-33 to beat SPLIT.

All that on a 20 prod budget.

ALITA over LEGO2 dom?

MPR will fall below TGS dom (174.34). Still 3.8 away.

This is really good for Alita. What if it shocks everybody with insane holds and crawls it's way to $150m+? with a really back-loaded OW. I'd say $100m is pretty much a guarantee at this point. it won't have any direct competition until Captain Marvel releases on March 8th either.

Die Hard 5-day was 4.5x the OD, while 41 5-day will give Alita 4.7x the OD (including 2.4 previews). I expected the 2.4 previews to front-load the OD enough to not let Alita match Die Hard's 4.5x but it's trending and WOM are much better.

Die Hard Dom ended up being 1.83x the 5-day ow in 2013. Alita should continue to trend better and as we add more days the preview front-loading will matter less.

The minimum it will do IMO is 2.0-2.1x the 5-day, 82-86 dom.

While will be difficult to beat 2.5-2.6x the 5-day, 103-107 dom.

Now estimated for over 4.9x the OD, despite the previews. Don’t want to go crazy until we see 2nd wknd, but feeling good about it.
